This session was beyond special to me. Karaina is one of my oldest and dearest friends (that is oldest in the number of years we have been friends, not how many years old we are!). She is smart, funny, incredibly kind and has one of the biggest smiles I’ve ever seen. She is also strong and independent, so none of us who know her were surprised she never settled, but waited for the right guy to come into her life before getting married and starting her family. My husband and I were thrilled to stand by her side as her bridesmaids (actually Jimmy was her maid of honor) when she married Kevin a year and a half ago.
Then this past spring I got an email from her asking if I would be willing to photograph her maternity session if she came to visit! You know you are a lucky person when you have people in your life you love so much you literally cry from sheer happiness when they share incredible news with you!
Her husband Kevin owns a tree removal service so they came up with the perfect nickname “Woodchip” for their baby and decided not to find out the gender before the birth. It’s seriously the cutest nickname ever! This is my beautiful friend with her Woodchip. I am beyond honored she came all this way for me to photograph her. I’ve never met anyone as happy to be pregnant and she was truly glowing.
And my plan was to have these images to her before Woodchip arrived, but since he decided to come into the world 4 weeks early, that didn’t happen. That’s right…it’s a boy! Welcome to the world baby Sullivan! I absolutely cannot wait to meet you!
