Milestone sessions and cake photoshoots are perfect for any parent who wants to capture all the stages of their baby’s first year of life, or those who missed out on having newborn portraits taken.

Due to the time dedicated to the experience for each of our clients, the number of sessions we take are limited each month. Booking early guarantees session availability, so we recommend contacting us as early as possible, or letting us know when you book your newborn session you’re also interested in a milestone session. This also allows ample time to custom design a session just for you.

However, if you have just found us and would like to book a last minute session, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to accommodate you if the studio schedule allows.

The most popular types of milestone sessions are for when your baby is doing tummy time, is sitting up, and for their 1st birthday. Some parents would like to have all the stages of their baby’s 1st year documented, while others choose just the cake photoshoot.

All babies reach milestones, such as pushing up on their tummy, sitting and crawling at their own pace. Babies will typically be able to hold their head and push up on their tummy for a tummy time session around 3-4 months. For sitter sessions, babies will typically be able to sit up unassisted anywhere from 6 to 9 months of age. If you are wanting to schedule a cake photoshoot or even a more simple 1st birthday session, you will want to think about if you want to have the pictures taken beforehand so you can use them for a birthday invitation or to display at the party.

It is best to book your session in advance and then we will finalize the exact date of the session once your baby starts hitting their milestone.

Sessions will take place at our private studio in Merritt Island. Here you will have access to our hand-curated props, outfits, and accessories to make the most of your session.

Sessions are never rushed, and we ask you to allow 2 hours for your milestone session. Babies will not have the attention span to be photographed for a full 2 hours, but we want to ensure there is plenty of time for feedings, changing and soothing your baby as needed.

Absolutely! This is a precious addition to your family and we are happy to include anyone you would like to have in your portraits. Please make sure to let us know in advance if there will be anyone else joining you.

Your milestone photography experience includes a pre-session consultation to choose colors and props, and discuss the collection of products we offer to compliment your home interior. After your session, we will schedule a time for you to come back to the studio for your ordering appointment where your gorgeous images will be revealed. We will show you the custom wall displays and heirloom products we’ve designed, and guide and assist you through the image and product decision-making process. The chosen images will receive master art retouching prior to product orders being placed.
